For so many on the mainland U.S. with family in Puerto Rico, all there is to do is hold on to hope and wait. Communications have mostly been wiped out across the island, but more than a week later, news is slowly starting to come in. Fusion correspondent Natasha del Toro traveled to Puerto Rico, where she grew up, to report and find family. Those in San Juan are holding strong, but del Toro’s real concern was for her grandmother in Ponce, a city hit much harder than the capital.
