Marti Gould Cummings fell in love with musical theatre as a child, creating and performing shows for his family. At the ripe old age of 17 he moved where all small town hope-to-be stars go: New York City. There, Marti built a career and found a voice on and off stage.
Through his drag persona, Marti has promoted awareness for LGBT charities including The Ali Forney Center, GMHC, the Hetrick-Martin Institute, and Bailey House. He is a firm believer that those with platforms must use them to speak out, which he does regularly. He is also president of The Hell’s Kitchen Democratic Club.
