Ryan Phillippe is sexy. We know this from his roles in “I Know What You Did Last Summer” and “Cruel Intentions.” Still, those classics came out over 15 years ago. (I know, feel old!)
But now, Phillippe will star as the lead role in ABC’s new show, “Secrets and Lies” – and he plays a dad. A super-sexy dad. But still! (This shouldn’t but such a shock to his fans though, since, duh, Phillippe has been a father in real life for 15 years.)
Anyways, here’s the deal with “Secrets and Lies,” which premieres with a two-hour episode this Sunday, March 1, at 9 p.m. ET. Phillippe’s character finds the body of a dead child on a morning run and quickly becomes a potential suspect in the murder.
And then, of course, the media descends on his house. But what’s different about this show is that the cameras stay with Phillippe’s character – in other words, nothing happens without Phillippe’s character front and center. If there’s outside information that’s important to the investigation, we don’t find out as viewers until he does.
That must be tiring for Phillippe, who has to act in basically every scene. And yet he still manages to show up shirtless at least once an episode!
Obviously, you’ll have every reason to be hooked. So once we got front and center with the man himself, we had to take the chance to get him to play “Two Truths and a Lie.” Let’s see if he figured it out!
