Small drone discovered on White House lawn makes for a manic Monday

A device was discovered on the front lawn of the White House around 3 a.m. on Monday. The device, later identified as a “small drone,” caused police, fire and other emergency vehicles to further investigate. The entire perimeter of the White House was on lockdown until sunrise, after which dozens of Secret Service officers began searching the surroundings.

White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest released a statement about the incident: “The early indications are that it does not pose any sort of ongoing threat to anybody at the White House.”

While President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama are both out of the country visiting India, the first daughters, Malia and Sasha, are at home.

Oh, girls, long gone are the times you could throw a party while your parents are away and a drone doesn’t blow your cover, make headline news, and scare the shit out of everybody.
