Republican National Committee Chairman Reince Priebus spoke to Fusion’s Jorge Ramos about the controversy surrounding the absence of a high-ranking U.S. official at the Paris unity march on Sunday.
“I don’t know what the President was doing during that event but it’s pretty disappointing that someone wasn’t there, that’s for sure,” Reince told Ramos.
On Monday, the White House admitted it made a mistake by not sending a top-level official to attend the rally.
“It is fair to say we should have sent someone with a higher profile,” White House spokesman Josh Earnest told reporters.
