This A-list fashion designer hoped to dress Hillary Clinton for inauguration
Prabal Gurung, whose designs have been worn by first lady Michelle Obama, Oprah Winfrey, and many others, was one of many big names in the industry who supported Hillary Clinton during the 2016 election. He designed a T-shirt for Clinton’s campaign website, which sold out in days. And he hoped to dress the candidate herself for her inauguration. In this interview with Fusion’s Alicia Menendez, Gurung explains what that would have meant to him, the importance of women in his career, and the difficult decision of leaving Nepal for America.
