Obama restricted to ‘largely symbolic’ actions on Cuba, can’t end embargo
Jorge Castañeda, former Mexican Foreign Secretary, spoke to Jorge Ramos about what the new era of U.S.-Cuban relations will look like following President Obama’s announcement to re-establish relations with the communist country.
“It is largely symbolic, but it is still very, very important.” Castañeda told Ramos.
Castañeda also provided some insight into what the policy shift means for the longstanding embargo, and what could happen next.
