Country duo Maddie & Tae make men wear cutoff jeans

Up-and-coming country artists Maddie & Tae refuse to be “that country girl.” Their hit single “Girl in a Country Song” quickly went viral for its honest lyrics and “smoking hot” extras.

The song criticizes the ways women are talked about in mainstream country music. Their catchy song throws around lyrics from male country artists like Jason Aldean (“tan legged Juliet”), Thomas Rhett (“you gotta get you some of that”) and Florida Georgia Line (“ain’t no sugar for you in this shaker of mine”). But fear not, country fans — Tae says, “We wrote this song in good fun. There is a lot of truth behind it but it was never our intention to hurt anyone’s feelings.”
