The Dota 2 International Tournament wrapped up in Seattle on Sunday, with a five-man Chinese team called NewBee taking home $5 million prize.
The tournament grabbed headlines this weekend for its huge purse of $10 million, and because of the fact that it was broadcast on ESPN 2 and ESPN 3, sister networks of Fusion.
If you haven’t seen a Dota tournament before, you might be surprised to find an arena packed with 10,000 fans watching groups of guys playing video games on a stage. E-sports have been huge for a while, but many think this Dota 2 tournament is a key moment.
