FOX News Wants to Be Cool, Pretends to Listen to Beyonce

This week on FOX’s female driven show “Outnumbered,” the sole male host had some interesting things to say about female voters. FOX News Correspondent Jesse Watters weighed in on Hillary Clinton and the Hobby Lobby case. Watters argued that the only reason Clinton called the decision “deeply disturbing” was because she wanted the “single ladies votes.”

“She needs the ‘Single Ladies’ vote. I call them the ‘Beyonce Voters’ the single ladies…. They depend on government because they’re not depending on their husbands,” Watters told his female co-hosts.

According to Watters a women is either, a) single and depending on government, or b) married and depending on her husband. Which makes us think that Watters hasn’t really listened to Queen Bey… “Independent Woman,” anyone?

In fact, just this week Beyonce topped the Forbes’ World Most Powerful Celebrities list, surpassing her husband Jay Z.

Look, Jessie, we get it. FOX News’ liked the way the world was, and the idea of a single woman who provides for herself is as scary as two gay dudes wanting to get gay married.

As Watters himself points out, those “Beyonce Voters,–you know the “single ladies”— they made up a quarter of the electorate in the last election, and if the right doesn’t change their tune, all of those votes will be going… to the left, to the left. (See what we did there?)
