Mexican riot police clashed with protesters yesterday as a group of masked youth smashed store windows in downtown Mexico City following a peaceful march in the capital. Five people were injured and three arrested, according to police.

Authorities estimated that 7,000 people attended the march, in which protesters demanded justice for the missing 43 students of Ayotzinapa, an end to the rampant violence and impunity that plagues Mexico, and the resignation of President Enrique Peña Nieto.
