Self-proclaimed nerd Jon Favreau told Fusion’s Alicia Menendez that being a geek in Hollywood is somewhat easier than being a kid raised by wolves, trying to survive in a jungle.

“They like the geeks in Hollywood,” Favreau, who directed and produced the upcoming remake of the Disney classic The Jungle Book, said during an interview. “The geeky people tend to have good imaginations, and you also have to be a bit obsessive about what you’re doing.”

Favreau spoke about the challenges and pressures of re-imagining the 1967 animated film into a live action movie.
