Government by the people, for the people…but who’s actually representing us in office? According to a recent Wall Street Journal study, the 111th Congress, which convened in 2009, was among the oldest in U.S. history. In 2011, the average age of those serving in Congress was nearly 60 years old. But as parties try and attract that coveted 18-31 voting bloc, perhaps they need to reevaluate their approach.
