Each week on “Boss of Me,” we feature young self-starters who created their own jobs. Today’s young CEO, Yunha Kim, was recently featured in Business Insider’s list of “30 Most Creative Under 30,” and her company, Locket, has been endorsed by Tyra Banks.
Kim, 24, says she has learned a lot about how to capitalize on her unique position as a young, powerful woman in the tech world. “When you go to any of these conferences you’re one of the few women,” she told Fusion Live. “But early on, being a female sometimes helps. When you reach out to some of the female founders, they’re more willing to talk to you and help you out because you’re one of the few females. There’s ‘girl’s power.'”
Yunha Kim joined us from San Francisco to talk about starting her own company and what it’s like to be a woman in tech.
Kim also spoke to Alicia Menendez and shared three reasons why it’s awesome to be a female CEO.
