AM Tonight's home shopping spree: fat fork edition

'People come for the sex,' Isabella Rossellini on her one-woman show

Hollywood icon and legend, Isabella Rossellini, is taking her show Green Porno, currently airing on the Sundance Channel, on the road. And thank god, because a 2D presentation of shrimp getting it on is just not satisfying enough. If you haven’t had a chance to catch her show, watch this fantastic clip of Rossellini reenacting the mating rituals of a praying mantis. I’ll wait.

Green Porno is like 9 1/2 weeks for animals and marine life, which is to say there’s a lot of sex, some humor and an assortment of eyebrow raising activity. When Fusion’s Alicia Menendez asked Rossellini whether she thought people came for the animals or for the sex, Rossellini responded, “I think they come for the sex, but they leave interested in animals.”

If anyone embodies that transformation it’s Rossellini herself. She’s famous for her breakout role in David Lynch’s erotic Blue Velvet and as the face of the cosmetic company Lancome for 14 years, and now she is pursuing a master’s degree in animal behavior at CUNY Hunter in New York City. Talk about a second skin!
