Disney's 'McFarland, USA' is the true story of a group of Latino students who build a sports dynasty

'Hunger Games' meets 'Game of Thrones' meets 'House of Cards'

Long before she became an Academy Award winner, Jennifer Lawrence signed on for a film that would make her a super star: The Hunger Games.

Fans of the book and film series are extremely passionate, to say the least. But that’s nothing new to actors Natalie Dormer and Mahershala Ali, who already deal with the epic fan bases of “House of Cards” and “Game of Thrones.”

The actors dished on binge-watching each others’ shows while working together: “I am so into her show,” Mahershala said. “It was so funny actually becasue we were all sort of fan boys and girls of each other and of the shows. True Detective was on while we were shooting as well and I was biting my tongue not to ask Woody [Harrelson] questions,” Dormer said.

Dormer also told Fusion Live she hasn’t read the Game of Thrones books but actively read Hunger Games on the set, much to the surprise of her co-stars. “I still haven’t read the books. I’ve read the Hunger Games series. It was an artistic choice for other reasons not to read the Thrones series. I was sitting reading the Hunger Games books on the Game of Thrones set once and knew I had Cressida and everyone is going up to me saying, I love The Hunger Games, especially Pedro Pascal.”

Watch the full clip to see which ‘world’ the actors think is most lethal: Hunger Games, GoT or House of Cards.

The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1 is in theaters November 21.
