Joining a fraternity or sorority is a rite of passage for many American college students. But in one new fraternity, Alpha Lambda Mu, the brothers are tied by a common faith – Islam.
It’s the first Muslim fraternity on any college campus in the country, and their goal is to change the way people perceive young Muslim men.
As part of that mission, they have allowed a documentary crew to follow them in their first year at the University of Texas at Dallas. The film, “Brotherhood,” will be released later this year and is currently seeking kickstarter funding.
