U.S. Speaker of the House John Boehner was just off his game when he mocked the GOP for their inaction on immigration reform, immitating house Republicans during a speech at a luncheon at a Rotary Club in Ohio as he whined “Ohhhh. Don’t make me do this. Ohhhh. This is too hard.” At least, that’s what Rep. Bob Goodlatte (R-VA) — chair of the House Judiciary Committee — hinted to during an interview with Jorge Ramos.
“The speaker, I know, regrets having said what he said. And, nonetheless, it remains that this issue needs to be addressed,” Rep. Goodlatte explained. “I know that the speaker wants to address this. Others do to. But, we want to do it the right way.”
Later House Speaker Boehner backtracked, saying “you tease the ones you love” and admitted he shouldn’t have ridiculed them publicly.
