What was intended as a cost-cutting measure has turned into a devastating health crisis for the residents of Flint, Michigan. Two years ago, Michigan Governor Rick Snyder switched the city’s water feed from Lake Huron to the local Flint River. Flint River’s waters are so corrosive, they’ve caused lead in the city’s old pipes to leak into the water supply.
