For over a year, protesters in Argentina have been physically blocking all the access roads to a Monsanto construction site in the small town of Malvinas Argentina.
The protesters claim Monsanto’s Roundup herbicide is contaminating residents of a nearby village, causing birth defects and poisoning.
Watch as we meet and follow Sofia Gatica, the founder of the mothers of Ituzaingo, a group seeking to halt the use of the agrochemical, as she lies down in front of oncoming trucks and leads protests against the construction of what is planned to be Monsanto’s largest facility in Latin America.
