Why Fox News' 'Outnumbered' Host Will Still Be The Man

Fox News is rolling out fresh daytime content with “Outnumbered,” a panel show with a twist: more women than men.

Fusion’s Alicia Menendez argues that while the show is unique to the network for boasting a female majority, the marketing of the show is attempting to stoke male anxiety.

And that anxiety is real: men were hit much harder by the recession than women, women have become the majority of the U.S. workforce for the first time in U.S. history, and women have earned almost 10 million more college degrees than men since 1982.

With “Outnumbered,” Fox News may concede that women are taking over the world… but the network stubbornly insists men are still the center of the universe.
