Why Malala shouldn't have her name on any list with Kendall and Kylie Jenner

Why our generation is more than just #hashtags

Just a little less than a year ago, we launched a network whose goal was to champion a young, diverse America.

Now, Fusion is gathering leading activists, artists and tech experts for a special one-day event on November 19 in Washington, D.C. called Rise Up, which will explore our generation’s role in the fight for social justice and equality.

In the lead-up to the event, Alicia Menendez Tonight would like to introduce you to some of the people creating change in our global community. Our first profile in our Fusion Rise Up series is of an organization (coincidentally) called Rhize.

Rhize uses its global network to provide individuals with the technology, strategy, and support to build lasting movements for people-powered democracy. In its first six months, they provided training, coaching and support to six change-makers in five different countries. Its goal is to create a new generation of leaders who can tap in to our most abundant resource for change: People.

Fusion’s Alicia Menendez sat down with Rhize founder and director Erin Mazursky to find out how Rhize is building the next generation of activists.
