You know the hundreds upon hundreds of campaign donation request emails flooding your inbox right now? You probably delete them in a heartbeat and wonder who actually takes the time to read them. It turns out these emails are extremely effective at parting people from their money.
Right now, campaigns across the country are attempting to raise last-minute cash to funnel into TV spots and get-out-the-vote efforts. When President Obama ran for re-election in 2012, his digital strategy team helped him raise an unprecedented $690 million dollars online. And guess what? $400 million of that cash came from direct email fundraising campaigns.
One of the guys behind the success was Teddy Goff. He sat down with Fusion’s Alicia Menendez to discuss how the email strategy he helped pioneer is now flooding your inbox every day of the year.
