When President Barack Obama ran for President he had a catchy slogan – “Yes you can.” It sounded familiar to many of us, because those were the words Cesar Chavez used in Spanish – “Si se puede”- to organize the famous Farm Workers United union back in the 60’s. Chavez fought for field worker’s rights, the injustices and discrimination they faced in the fields for years. And although his name lives in the history books and became a hero to many, during his lifetime he was never invited to the White House… until now. Fusion Anchor Jorge Ramos accompanied movie director Diego Luna, actresses America Ferrera and Rosario Dawson to a very special screening of their movie “Cesar Chavez” at the White House. Film is out on March 29, 2014.
