Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella recently revealed to the world how women can start earning equal pay without ever having to ask for a raise: By having faith in the system and a dash of superpowers.
And what better place to enlighten the ladies on the pay-gap-closing power of karma than at the Grace Hopper Celebration of Women in Computing?
Nadella has since backpedaled and said he was “inarticulate” and “completely wrong,” sending out this tweet just hours after the event:
Gender pay gaps exist in all professions, but women in tech typically earn about $6,000 a year less than men. So yes, Mr. Nadella, we accept your apology, but now it’s time you do something about those paychecks – especially since you don’t think women should have to ask you to raise them.
