How ‘Harry Potter’ helped this fangirl’s battle with depression

The stars of 'Harry Potter' talk about their obsessive superfans

Tom Felton, the actor who brought Draco Malfoy to life in the ‘Harry Potter’ films, goes inside the world of fandom in Superfans! A Tom Felton Documentary.

In the special, he interviews fellow Potter actors Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint and author J.K. Rowling about unique experiences coming face-to-face with their biggest fans. From waiting in lines at midnight showings to traveling the country to different conventions, ‘Harry Potter’ fandom is known for being a very dedicated group.

Rowling compared a book store appearance to a rock concert. For her, the power of art is something she takes very seriously, “Whenever someone tells me that it helped them or that you got something through something, it is the most gratifying thing ever, isn’t it?”
