Today in History: Che Guevara killed bringing revolution to Bolivia

On October 9, 1967, Ernesto “Che” Guevara, the man who was a diplomat as much as he was a guerrilla fighter, finally quit the worldwide Marxist revolution when he was executed in Bolivia. The story of how Che came to be captured there, and why the revolution he was waging there was unsuccessful is well worth further examination.

Today also would have marked John Lennon’s 75 birthday. Lennon and Guevara never met, but they are still connected, weirdly enough.
