There are 865 million women around the world who have the potential to contribute more to their national economies. Right now, women spend twice as much time on household work as men, and four times as much time on childcare.
Those statistics are just a few of the many that illustrate both the persistence of gender inequality and why it’s holding back global economic growth and development.
