Fusion Dispatch: Up Close With a Venezuelan Student Protest Leader

The Venezuelan student movement is at the heart of the anti-government protests that are taking place in Caracas.

Storyhunter’s Carlos Beltran embedded himself with student protesters to show us what it feels like on the streets of Caracas.

In part three of the Fusion Dispatch series, Storyhunter’s Carlos P. Beltran gives us a closer look at one the student leaders, Juan Requesens of the Universidad Central de Venezuela (Central University of Venezuela).

After weeks of protesting, Requesens said the students have no intention of stopping anytime soon.

“At this point, too much is at stake,” he said. “Fear is not an option.”
