Want a great way to celebrate July 4th? Try filming a scene in the sequel to the 1996 blockbuster Independence Day.

Sound crazy? Ask Nightline on Fusion host, Kimberly Brooks.

Recently, she went to Albuquerque, New Mexico for her acting debut as a reporter in a press scene for the upcoming sequel. Hopefully her “cameo” makes it in the new film once it comes out in June of 2016. Fingers crossed.

Because the reporters are not allowed to share any official interviews, behind-the-scenes footage, or clips until closer to the release date, Kimberly could only share this.

Update: If you are wondering what a movie extra gets paid, we know. It’s a small check for $41.04. But since the director gave Kimberly a line, she was mailed a second check yesterday for $546.64 [after tax]! Who said talk was cheap?
