Will the NFL Allow Players To Smoke Marijuana?

NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell recently stated in an interview with Ben Feller–a media strategist for Mercury and former Chief White House correspondent for the Associated Press–that he is open to the idea of one day letting football players use medicinal marijuana in states where it’s legal to deal with pain.

“I don’t know what’s going to develop as far as the next opportunity for medicine to evolve and to help either deal with pain or help deal with injuries but we will continue to support the evolution of medicine,” Goodell told an audience at the 92nd St. Y in New York City.

Feller joined “The Morning Show” to talk about the implications of Goodell’s statements. We also talked to 7-time Pro-Bowler and Super Bowl Champion Lomas Brown about how prevalent marijuana is amongst NFL players.
