Arnold Schwarzenegger portrays the most compelling, loving, genuine father that a soon-to-be zombie teen could ask for. The film “Maggie” premiered at the 2015 Tribeca Film Festival, featuring actors Joely Richardson and Abigail Breslin alongside Schwarzenegger. The plot revolves around a teenage girl, Maggie, who has been infected by a zombie and is beginning her slow transformation into a zombie. And her father, played by Schwarzenegger, is faced with the impossible decision of when to abandon her to quarantine.
As heartbreaking as this film is, it is also quietly beautiful — a portrait of true love for one’s family, and true love for life.
One of the most beautiful, artistic films I’ve seen in a long time.
If zombies descend, be sure to find Schwarzenegger for protection.
“Maggie” hits theaters on May 8th.
