We’re not fashion experts at “Come Here and Say That,” so luckily for us, the two women who run Go Fug Yourself are both on point and hilarious with their style roundups. Jessica Morgan and Heather Cocks not only run the most famous fashion blog, but have written two books together. “The Royal We,” about an American girl who falls for the Prince of England, is out now.
We caught up with them to chat about the book — but also about their predictions on last night’s Met Ball, one of fashion’s biggest nights. And the Fug ladies’ biggest fear before the event? Jennifer Lawrence. “I’m afraid she’s going to look terrible,” said Morgan last night when she joined us for the show. “She and Dior, despite being contractually wed, do not have a very happy relationship.”
Here’s what Lawrence actually wore — what do you think? Pass or fail?
As they predicted, the Fug Girls were less than enthused, but not as horrified as they thought they might be.
Then there was Cocks’ prediction, given the event’s theme: “We’re in a little danger of cultural appropriation.” But aside from Sarah Jessica Parker’s very, uh, daring and close-to-literal interpretation of the night’s theme, China….
….Most people seemed to be pretty respectful, according to the Fug Girls, who gave Rihanna specific props.
So do you think the Fug masterminds’ predictions hold water? Tweet us at @ComeHereSayThat and let us know!
