While some super-fans of Selena claim the superstar still lives on through her music, other twentysomethings are just too young to remember the singer’s assassination 20 years ago. (Check Fusion’s coverage of Selena’s lasting legacy here, here, and here.)
So “Come Here and Say That” enlisted our official Netflix correspondents — yes, SUPER official! — to share their thoughts after watching “Selena” for the first time.
You might remember our correspondents, Brooklyn comedians Matt Harkins and Viviana Olena, from their incredible project, also related to the 1990s: the Tonya Harding and Nancy Kerrigan 1994 museum. But now, they’re taking on the JLo movie that made JLo, well, glow.
Check out their commentary to see “Selena” — the movie and the singer — with new eyes.
Actually, it was so super sad that Matt and Viviana had to submit some feelings, early, just to work through them. Check those out here.
