The Walk to Freedom

This drone video of New Zealand's gorgeous landscapes will make you want to book a plane ticket

If you can’t tell, we’re big fans of drone videography at Real Future. In particular, we like drone video that takes us aerially to places we’d like to visit but have never been, whether that’s a farm in Ireland or the new Apple campus in Cupertino. Drones have their issues, but they’re unparalleled in their ability to serve as virtual travel agents—showing, not telling us what all these far-off locales look like from the sky.

Today, in the latest installment of Friday Flyday, we decided to go to New Zealand. This video of the Kiwi landscape, shot with a DJI drone’s GoPro attachment last year, is just gorgeous. It has waterfalls, beaches, volcanoes, verdant pastures, redwood trees, and misty mountain lakes. It’s the visual equivalent of a hot-stone massage. Watch it once, and you’ll be amazed at the screensaver-like splendor. Watch it twice, and you’ll be on Kayak, looking for cheap flights to Auckland.
