Real Betis fans support Rubén Castro by singing pro-domestic violence songs

Earlier this month, Spanish prosecutors charged Real Betis forward Rubén Castro with four counts of assault on his ex-girlfriend. They are asking for a little over two years prison time: nine months for threats sent to his ex-girlfriend’s phone, and four months for each count of domestic violence.

While Castro awaits his hearing, he’s still playing for Betis. Enter Betis fans. This weekend Betis played Girona. During the match, segments of Betis ultras chanted, “Go Rubén Castro, go Rubén Castro, it wasn’t your fault, she was a bitch, you did well!”

This is just a friendly reminder that no team has a monopoly on awful fans.
