Lukas Podolski calls transfer speculation “pure lies,” moves to Inter

Lukas Podolski is a World Cup winner who can kick the ball real hard when he’s not sitting on the bench for Arsenal, which isn’t very often anymore. Way back in 2014, he was linked with Inter. Arsene Wenger put that talk straight right quick:

“Inter? That is a joke. Inter is not serious,” he said on Dec. 30.

The next day, the Mirror claimed Podolski faked an injury to avoid a Jan. 1 game against Southampton and force through a transfer. Podolski told his 1.6 million Instagram followers that the report was “pure lies.”

Naturally, Podolski has shown up at Inter. Cool. Now he can get back to kicking the ball real hard in training and then posting cool selfies after his teammates win trophies for him, just like he did this summer.
