Right. So there’s this newspaper in Sweden, called Dagens Nyheter, which lets its readers vote for the greatest Swedish sportsperson. Because when have Internet voters or commenters led us astray? Anyway, they picked Bjorn Borg.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic finished second. When the newspaper contacted Ibra to congratulate him, it went typically Zlatany.
“Thank you, but to finish second is like finishing last,” Ibrahimovic said.
“On that list I would have been Nos. 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5, with due respect to the others.”
Part of his “due respect” included calling Borg a “cool person.” Borg won 11 grand slams.
None of the others in the top 10 play soccer, so I don’t know who they are, so I’m not going to list them.
