For a soccer player, Brazilian goalkeeper/icon Rogério Ceni is old. At 41, the former Brazilian international is still tending goal for São Paulo in Brazil’s top league. But he doesn’t just stop opponents from scoring for a living; Ceni also scores goals, having already scored 10 times this season.
But that type of record can lead to delusions about one’s own ability and arrogance. The first sign that something may have been wrong was when Ceni declared that he won’t be retiring, vowing to continue playing until August 2015.
