In the Amazon Olympics, Soccer, Archery and Swimming in Piranha-Infested Waters

Young indigenous men and women swim through piranha-infested waters during the Amazon Olympics, a competition between two dozen jungle villages on the borders of Brazil, Peru and Colombia. Other sports include archery, blow pipe shooting, canoeing, and yes, soccer. The Amazon Olympics have been taking place for 15 years and they are a way to keep indigenous traditions alive.
