Flappy Bird may have a little competition when it returns to app stores this August.
The newest ‘Flappy Bird’ copycat uses a goat as its mascot and uses a play on words from the popular ‘Frozen’ song ‘Let It Go’ to make the next irritatingly addictive tap game: ‘Let It Goat.’
After going viral, ‘Flappy Bird’–a deceptively simple tap game featuring a tiny bird maneuvering its way through green pipes–was taken down by its creator due to his fear that the game was too addictive.
Since then, many copycats have tried to create their own version of the game with the same hope of it going viral. And ‘Let It Goat’ is no exception.
The app store description explains the objective of the game:
“JUST TAP TO JUMP over the Spikes & Zombies! Collect Gems to get Bear Power Ups to run farther than your friends. Can you make it past 5 spikes?”
Still not impressed?
Besides spikes and zombies, the game includes “real Goat Music and Goat Noices.”
And who doesn’t love goat noises?
We’re already at 22 spikes. How far can you get?
*Side Mission: How long can you play the game before wanting to smash your phone through a wall?
