Today was a special day for our friends at “Good Morning America.”
Anchors Robin Roberts and Josh Elliott had the chance to meet with Pope Francis on his last general audience of the year at the Vatican.
Francis is called “The People’s Pope” because since his selection in March, his priorities have been directed to helping the poor, embracing the sick and spreading a message of love and tolerance.
Just yesterday, he turned 77 years old and celebrated by inviting three homeless men from the streets of Rome to have breakfast with him.
And since the pope is a big soccer fan, he also invited the Argentina’s reigning soccer champions, San Lorenzo, to his general audience on Wednesday to celebrate their win.
We’re waiting for him to invite Jorge Ramos for an interview, but his papacy is still young. And he’s been busy so far.
