Thomas Pham does not have the typical background of a fashion designer. His parents were Vietnamese refugees, but he was born in California where he was always immersed in technology.
In an interview with DNA, Pham said technology gave him the inspiration to design clothes and be a fashion designer. However, to make his dream come true, he moved to New York to merge himself into the fashion industry.
DNA joined Pham on a photo shoot in Wynwood, an artsy neighborhood in Miami, Florida.
“I want to bring to Miami the style from Paris, New York and Tokyo,” he said. Pham believes his clothes contain a balance between the structured and the unstructured, and the edgy and the non-edgy.
