Astronaut Chris Cassidy went from Afghanistan to space to Fusion.
Cassidy was a Navy Seal for 10 years, deploying to Afghanistan two weeks after the September 11 attacks. But he recently came back from his latest deployment … in space.
This past September, he returned to earth after spending five months aboard the International Space Station, orbiting Earth for more than 2500 times for a total of 70 million miles. He stopped by DNA to discuss his experience with space travel and how he just couldn’t live without ESPN — even while the network’s home planet remained a tiny dot in the distance.
Cassidy is such a big sports fan that even ESPN’s SportsCenter had him host a “Top 10” segment. Check out what he had to say in the video above.
