Funny guy Josh Gad has starred in hit films like “21,” the Vince Vaughn comedy “The Internship,” and bio-pic “Jobs” based on the life of Steve Jobs.
He is back on the big screen in Disney’s new animated film “Frozen.”
Gad voices the cheery and positive snowman by the name of “Olaf” who doesn’t quite understand the concept of climate change, but is willing to melt for his friends.
Inspired by Hans Christian Andersen’s fairy tale “The Snow Queen,” Olaf, who was sprung from magical powers, accompanies a young girl named Anna in the quest to find her sister that accidentally froze the entire kingdom of Arendelle.
“The beauty of this character is his pure innocence, his optimism,” Gad said in an interview with DNA. “He’s one of the few characters that I’ve ever seen who has literally zero cynicism.”
That’s important to Gad since he says his young daughter will be watching “Frozen.”
