Information Requests to NSA Are Up 988%

The details about NSA spying leaked by Edward Snowden this summer miffed world leaders from Mexico to Germany.

But it’s also causing panic among U.S. citizens who want to know if their government is surreptitiously watching them.

Open-records requests to the NSA are up 988 percent in recent months, according to USA Today.

The agency is basically stonewalling all of those requests.

“Anyone asking is getting a standard pre-written letter saying the NSA can neither confirm nor deny that any information has been gathered,” USA Today reports.

Looks like they’re going to be printing a lot of letters in coming months.
