WATCH: DNA Finds the King of Dancehall in Kingston, Jamaica

You definitely know dancehall superstar Sean Paul’s smash hit “Temperature.” The track became his third number one single in the U.S. and his most successful ever, selling over 2 million copies.

The Grammy winner has also collaborated with many of the music world’s heaviest hitters including Beyonce. “Baby Boy” became one of her top selling singles staying atop the Billboard hot 100 for nine consecutive weeks. He’s also worked with her husband and music mogul Hay Z on 2002’s “What They Gonna Do,” featured on Jay’s The Blueprint Two album. Sean’s other notable collaborations include Nicki Minaj, Snoop Dogg and Chris Brown.

Sean Paul is arguably the most successful dancehall artist to come from the island of Jamaica, with three number one singles in the U.S. and three worldwide platinum albums. He’s a global star who brought dancehall to the world stage. We recently caught up with him in his hometown of Kingston.
