Can science make you more creative? Well, obviously any self-respecting Mr. Wizard fan can tell you yes, but what I mean is: can scientist optimize the creative process?
A study at Albion College suggests that being sleepy or groggy may actually increase your creativity, probably because it’s harder to ignore the voices in your head when you’re sleep deprived. I’m sleep deprived right now and I’m totally being creative. Thanks external thoughts entering my brain with no body to claim them!
Maybe the lesson here is that listening to the voices in your head isn’t such a bad thing, despite what every one at the Gramercy Park Police District tells you!
Warning: Listening to Elise may cause rectal bleeding. Not really. But you must know this is satire.
