How technology and money changed the dreams of today’s youth

Unlike prior generations, many of us born from 1980 to 2000 don’t remember a time without the internet and are consumed by our smartphones. And we live in a much different economic reality than our parents did: The global financial crisis that erupted in 2008 changed the way we look at debt, income, careers, and even family planning.

So, where does that leave the youth of today? How are our dreams and ideals changing, and how will it impact the trajectory of global development in the 21st Century? Univision and Fusion are hosting a panel discussion at the World Economic Forum in Davos to address these questions.

Moderated by Enrique Acevedo, the panel includes hip-hop artist, Coca-Cola CEO Muhtar Kent, Airbnb co-founder Nathan Blecharczyk, RecargaPay CEO Rodrigo Teijeiro, and Matsi Modise, the National Executive Director of the South African Black Entrepreneurs Forum. Watch live below:
