Soccer Godcast, Episode 13: Hopes and Dreams For 2016

New year, new podcast!

‘Tis the season to be optimistic about the near future and decide what we need to leave behind in the previous year. On this first Soccer Godcast episode of 2016, the “we” is American Soccer Twitter, and hosts Kevin Brown and Miriti Murungi share their wishes for the community to break free, stop working itself up over things that don’t actually matter — like wild opinions from Deadspin’s Bill Haisley — and finally allow itself to have honest, nuanced conversations.

Later, they gave their all-important review of the Netflix documentary series, “Making a Murderer,” and the ongoing phenomenon of America finally waking up to the idea that the criminal justice system is flawed.

Finally, it was time for listener questions, which lead to the solution of some of the world’s greatest problems, namely, the flaws in the work of Stephen Hawking, the great colonial milk conspiracy, and the deep societal guilt humans reveal about themselves through science fiction movies.
